Andrea Prandi, born in San Giovanni Lupatoto, in the province of Verona, in 1979, began his artistic training at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Verona and he then continued his studies for many years in the studio of Prof. Scarato, an illustrator of international renown.
In the early years of his work, he concentrated on the theme of memory, with the aim of seizing the moment in its emotional essence, creating works in which canvases, frames and three-dimensional inserts blended together to form original artistic compositions.
His subsequent creations were a profound, introspective analysis of the secrets of the cosmos. In his most recent productions, combines video art and photography to tell the evolutionary story of the soul as it changes over time in its constant search for itself.
His artistic maturity is confirmed in the synergy between video art and kinetic installations.
Since 2011, he has taken part in several exhibitions in Italy and abroad, including in Rome, Venice, London, Miami, Barcelona, Copenhagen and New York.
In 2015, he won second prize “Lorenzo il Magnifico Digital Art Award” at the tenth edition of the Florence Biennale with his Panspermia, the outcome of 3600 underwater photographs. The installation was accompanied by a short feature directed by himself to convey his own concept of the creative process.
In 2017, the artist presented his solo exhibition at the Palazzo della Gran Guardia in Verona with the work “The maze of dreams” developing an immersive installation capable of involving the spectator completely.
In May he was invited to expose as an international artist, to the 57th Venice Biennale, in the Guatemala National Pavilion with “The Blossoming Soul” (L’Anima in Fiore), to interpret “La Marge” – The Margin.
In 2018 he received, at the XI Biennale Internazionale d’Arte di Firenze, the special mention for his last project “Flowers of The Earth”.
His quotations on the market are published in the “Catalogue of Modern Art” nr. 52 – 53 – 54 – 55 by Editoriale Giorgio Mondadori, where Prandi is included into the “IS” category for his national and international recognition by some well-known criticism.
